We will inform you of important changes, e.g. for technical reasons, by email. The email is sent to the address entered during registration.
The data entered during registration is processed based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time by sending an informal notice by email. This does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing which has taken place prior to the revocation.
We store the data recorded during registration for the duration you are registered on our website. Your data will be erased if you cancel your registration. This does not affect legal storage periods.

Storage duration of posts and comments
Posts, comments and associated data, e.g. IP addresses, are stored. The content remains on our website until it has been completely erased, or has had to be erased for legal reasons.
The posts and comments are stored based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time by sending an informal notice by email. This does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing which has taken place prior to the revocation.
Newsletter data
We need you to provide us with an email address in order for us to send our newsletter. The email address provided needs to be verified, and consent must be given to receive the newsletter. Additional data is not collected, or is voluntary. The data is used solely for the purpose of sending the newsletter.
The data provided when subscribing to the newsletter is processed solely based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time by sending an informal notice by email or clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. This does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing which has taken place prior to the revocation.
Data provided as part of the subscription process is erased if you unsubscribe from the newsletter. If this data has been sent to us for different purposes and to a different area, it will remain in our system.
MailChimp
We use MailChimp to send newsletters. MailChimp is run by The Rocket Science Group, LLC 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE Suite, 5000 Atlanta, GA 30308 in the USA. This service enables us to organise and analyse our newsletter mailings. The data you enter in order to receive the newsletter, e.g. your email address, is stored on the MailChimp servers.
Sending newsletters using MailChimp enables us to analyse the newsletter recipient’s behaviour. This analysis shows us, for example, how many recipients opened their newsletter, and how frequently newsletter links have been clicked on. MailChimp supports conversion tracking, so as to analyse whether a pre-defined action, e.g. a product purchase, has taken place once a link has been clicked. Details on MailChimp’s data analysis can be found at: https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/gdpr-faq?utm_source=mc-kb&utm_medium=kb-site&utm_campaign=eepurl.
The data is processed solely based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time by sending an informal notice by email or clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. This does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing which has taken place prior to the revocation.
If you do not want MailChimp to conduct any analyses, you need to unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can do this simply by sending us an informal email or clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.
Data entered during the subscription process is erased from our and MailChimp’s servers if you unsubscribe from the newsletter. If this data has been sent to us for different purposes and to a different area, it will remain in our system.
Order processing
We have concluded an order-processing contract with MailChimp in order to fully comply with the legal data protection regulations.
YouTube
In order to integrate and display video content, our website uses plugins from YouTube. The video portal is run by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
When you visit a page integrated with a YouTube plugin, a connection is established with YouTube’s servers. This informs YouTube which of our pages you have visited.
YouTube can link your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile if you are logged into your YouTube account. You can prevent this by logging out beforehand.
We use YouTube in the interests of making our website display attractively. This is a legitimate interest as defined by Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR.
Details on the handling of user data are available in the YouTube privacy statement at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies – small text files which your web browser stores on your end device. Cookies help us make our website more secure, effective and user-friendly.
Some cookies are “session cookies”, which are erased at the end of your browser session. Other cookies, meanwhile, remain on your end device until you clear them yourself. These cookies help us recognise you when you return to our website.
Modern web browsers enable you to monitor, restrict or prohibit the addition of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured in such a way that cookies are automatically cleared when the program is closed. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
Cookies necessary for electronic communications or for providing certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping basket) are added based on Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR. As the operators of this website, we have a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure our services run smoothly and without any technical errors. If other cookies are added (e.g. for analysis functions), these are addressed separately in this privacy statement.
Google Analytics
Our website uses functions run by the web analysis service Google Analytics, run by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses "cookies" – small text files which your web browser stores on your end device, and which enable website usage to be analysed. Information generated by cookies regarding your use of our website is sent to a Google server, where it is saved. The server is generally located in the USA.
Google Analytics cookies are added based on Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR. As the operators of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website and any advertising.
IP anonymisation
We use Google Analytics in conjunction with the IP anonymisation function, which ensures that Google abbreviates your IP address within the European Union or European Economic Area before transmitting it to the USA. In exceptional cases, Google may transmit the full IP address to a server in the USA and then abbreviate it. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of the website, compile reports on website activities, and render additional services for us relating to website usage and Internet usage. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics is not combined with any other Google data.
Browser plugin
You can prevent your web browser from adding cookies, though this may restrict some of our website’s functions. You can also prevent Google from recording and then processing data relating to your website usage, including your IP address, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Objection to data recording
You can prevent Google Analytics from recording your data by clicking the following link. This will add an opt-out cookie which prevents your data being recorded during future visits to our website: Disable Google Analytics.
Details on how user data is handled by Google Analytics can be found in Google’s privacy statement: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
Order processing
We have concluded an order-processing contract with Google in order to fully comply with the legal data protection regulations.
Demographics function in Google Analytics
Our website uses the “demographics” function in Google Analytics, which enables reports to be compiled on the age, sex and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google, as well as visitor data from third-party providers. It is not possible to link this data to specific people. You may disable this function at any time via the display settings in your Google account or by generally preventing Google Analytics from recording your data, as explained in the section entitled “Objection to data recording”.
PayPal
Our website enables payments to be made via PayPal, a payment service run by PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg.
When you pay with PayPal, the payment data entered by you is sent to PayPal.
Your data is sent to PayPal based on Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 Para. 1 b GDPR (processing for the performance of a contract). You may revoke your consent at any time. Data processing which has taken place prior to the revocation shall remain valid.
Payolution GmbH
Our website enables payments to be made via Payolution, a payment service run by payolution GmbH, Am Euro Platz 2, 1120 Vienna, Austria.
When payments are made with Payolution, Payolution collects various personal data from you. For details, see Payolution’s privacy statement at https://www.payolution.com/datenschutz/.
Your data is sent to Payolution based on Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 Para. 1 b GDPR (processing for the performance of a contract). You may revoke your consent at any time. Data processing which has taken place prior to the revocation shall remain valid.
Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking
Our website uses Google AdWords, run by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States.
AdWords is an online advertising program as part of which we work with conversion tracking. Once an ad displayed by Google is clicked on, a cookie is added for the conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files stored on your end device by your web browser. Google AdWords cookies expire after 30 days and are not intended to personally identify users. The cookie enables Google and us to recognise when you have clicked on ad and have been redirected to our website.
Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked through AdWords customer websites. Conversion cookies compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who use conversion tracking. AdWords customers learn how many users clicked on their ad and were redirected to sites with conversion tracking tags. AdWords customers do not, however, receive any information enabling users to be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you may object to its use by disabling the conversion cookie in the browser’s user settings. This will also prevent you from being included in the conversion tracking statistics.
“Conversion cookies” are stored based on Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR. As website operators, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour to optimise our website and advertising.
Details on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy statement: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.
